Product description Winsor & Newton paints change the composition of the paint or the final surface and increase the brightness and depth of the colors. Some mediums improve the brushability and adhesion of the thinned paint, others regulate the drying time. There are no special rules for Winsor & Newton's paints - unlike oil, where each layer of paint must be more flexible than the previous one. Acrylic paints and mediums have the same emulsion base, so they dry at the same speed and there is no risk of cracking. A varnish that creates a shiny, protective film over the acrylic painting. Apply with a lacquer brush, which must be kept moist during use and washed thoroughly after use. By mixing glossy and matte varnish, different degrees of gloss can be achieved. We recommend two layers of varnish and an interval of 2-4 hours between applying the layers. The first layer must not be applied until the paint is dry to the touch.
